Gary J. Thomas, ENP, RPL, has extensive experience in emergency services and communications. Currently serving as Assistant Chief and 9-1-1 Coordinator at the Allegheny County Department of Emergency Services since November 2009, Gary has also held the position of Past President with the PA Chapter of NENA since September 2014. In addition, Gary has been an Adjunct Instructor with APCO International since March 2000 and previously worked as the Director of Communications for Union County, NC from August 2004 to October 2009. Gary's educational background includes an Associate of Science in Public Safety Communications from Jacksonville State University (2000-2002) and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (1976-1980).
