Melissa Alterio, M.S., CPE, RPL, currently serves as the Executive Director at Cobb County Department of Emergency Communications since June 2021 and is the Founder and CEO of Leadership 911Pro Consulting, established in February 2020, specializing in organizational culture consulting for emergency communication centers. With an extensive background in public safety, Melissa has held the position of 911 Communications Director for the City of Roswell, Georgia, from November 2015 to May 2021, and served as a Training Coordinator for Orange County Government, NY, for nearly two decades. Additionally, Melissa contributes to the field as an Adjunct Instructor for APCO International since April 2017 and previously worked as a Communications Officer for Gwinnett County Government. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science degree from Mercer University in Criminal Justice/Public Safety Leadership and a Bachelor of Science degree from Marist College in Law and Psychology, alongside certifications in Executive Leadership and Leadership Development from APCO Institute.
