Kristi Sowell has extensive experience in emergency communications, having played a key role in establishing the Limestone County 911 Center as a Supervisor and Trainer since May 2006 at Athens Limestone 911. In addition to this, Kristi serves as an APCO Adjunct Instructor for a 40-hour Public Safety Telecommunications Course since 2006, and previously taught at the Alabama Fire College from January 2014 to January 2017. Prior positions include MedCom Emergency Communications Lead at Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Communications roles at Florence Police Department and Athens City Police Department, and Armed Nuclear Security Supervisor at Tennessee Valley Authority. Kristi holds education from Calhoun Community College, completed in 1993.
