Juan Diego Castrillon has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Volunteer Developer role at Gradeable in 2012. Juan Diego then worked as a Teacher Assistant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2013, followed by an Assistant Researcher role at MIT Media Lab in the same year. In 2014, they held a Software Engineer Intern - Retail Innovation role at eBay Inc, where they designed and built a full-body, close proximity, selfie station prototype for major retail stores. In 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at MIT CSAIL, and also held a Software Engineer Internship role at bebop.co, where they developed a testing framework that automated integration testing for all API endpoints. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Flatiron Health, where they held the roles of Staff Software Engineer, Manager, Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, and Software Engineer. Juan Diego is currently employed as a Software Engineer at Apella Technology.
