Adam Townsend

Adam Townsend is the Chief Commercial Officer at Apellis Pharmaceuticals. Adam has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Adam started their career at Novartis in 1997 as a Specialist Representative. Adam then moved to Amgen in 2000, where they held various marketing positions including International Senior Marketing Manager. In 2008, they joined EUSA Pharma as General Manager UK, Ireland & Nordic Region. Adam then moved to Biogen in 2010, where they held the position of Senior Vice President Of Corporate Development until 2018.

Adam has a proven track record in commercialization and business development. Adam has successfully launched multiple products in international markets and has played a key role in several major licensing and acquisition deals.

Adam Townsend attended the Royal Holloway, University of London.
