Jessica Bota

Jessica Bota has worked in various roles throughout their career. Jessica started their career in 2010 as a Microbiologist at the University of Connecticut, where they researched the structure and function of a peptide called SEVI in relation to HIV infection. Jessica utilized NMR spectroscopy and kinetic assays to observe changes and growth in the presence of metal ions. In 2013, Jessica joined PepsiCo as a Laboratory Technician for a brief period before joining Apelon. At Apelon, they held the position of Manager, Content and Product Services from 2013 to 2021, and then transitioned to the role of Director, Content and Product Services in December 2021.

Jessica Bota earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Connecticut in 2012. Jessica then obtained a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University in 2013.
