El Amine Mernissi Cherigui

El Amine Mernissi Cherigui is a Senior Research Engineer and R&D Program Manager in Hydrogen at Aperam since September 2018, focusing on the development of coated stainless steel for fuel cell applications and solutions for water electrolysis. Prior experience includes a role as a PhD Candidate at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from May 2014 to September 2018, specializing in the electrochemical synthesis of supported nickel nanoparticles and studying deposition mechanisms. El Amine also worked as a researcher at Université libre de Bruxelles in early 2014, where plasma treatment and functionalization of self-adhesive films were explored, and completed an internship at Mactac Europe in late 2012, concentrating on the development of odour-absorbing products. El Amine holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, as well as both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Université libre de Bruxelles.
