Gert Heylen

Gert Heylen has extensive work experience in the steel industry. Gert started their career at ArcelorMittal in 2006 as an Assistant Steel Plant Manager, and later became a Steel Plant Manager. In 2012, Gert joined Aperam as the Cold Rolling Plant Manager/Manager Production Services. Gert then took on the role of General Manager and Head of the Genk Plant. Currently, Gert is the Director of Supply Chain Europe at Aperam.

Gert Heylen obtained their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Metallurgy and Applied Materials Science from KU Leuven. Gert attended the university from 1987 to 1992.
