Thomas de Swiet

Thomas de Swiet has an extensive work experience beginning in 1993 when they were a Scientist at Schlumberger. In 1996, they became a Miller Fellow at UC Berkeley. Two years later, they were an EPSRC Advanced Fellow at the University of Nottingham. From 2000 to 2010, they held various roles at Varian, Inc. including R&D Engineering Manager and Senior Engineer. From 2010 to 2015, they were the R&D Director and NMR Systems Engineering Manager at Agilent Technologies. From 2015 to 2020, they were the Senior Director of Product Engineering at ViewRay Incorporated. Most recently, they are the Global Director of Sustaining Engineering at BD Biosciences and the Vice President of Engineering at Aperia Technologies.

Thomas de Swiet completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from the University of Oxford in 1991, followed by a PhD in Physics from Harvard University in 1995.
