Guillaume Cottarel

Guillaume Cottarel has a long history of working in the biotechnology field, beginning in 1992 as a Scientist for Mitotix, Inc. Guillaume then held the position of Research Manager at Genome Therapeutics Corp. from 1997 to 2003, followed by VP Biology at Cellicon Biotechnologies from 2003 to 2007. In 2007, they moved to codexis as Director/Associate Director of Cellular Engineering, and then to Intrexon Corporation in 2011 as Vice President, Metabolic Engineering and Systems Biology - Senior Technical Fellow R&D. In 2019, they Co-Founded and acted as VP Strategy for a company in Stealth Mode, and in 2018 they became a Biotechnology Consultant for Novae Vitae, LLC. Currently, they are the Head of Platform at Aperiam Bio, a position they have held since 2022.

Guillaume Cottarel obtained their PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Justus Liebig University Giessen in 1989. Prior to that, they obtained their Engineer degree in Agronomy from Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech - Université de Liège in 1984.
