Alex Figueiredo has a diverse work experience. Alex started their career in 1996 as an Assistant at Futurekids do Brasil and then worked as an Intern at Kirche in Not Ostpriesterhilfe. Alex later joined Câmara de Comércio e Industria Brasil-Alemanha de São Paulo, where they worked as a Trainee of Foreign Department, Foreign Department Supervisor, and Manager. In 2006, Alex joined Apex-Brasil as the Manager at Apex-Brasil Germany and later became the Chief Operating Officer at Apex-Brasil Europe. Alex also served as a Member of the Board at BRASCAM - Belgian-Luxemburg-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and BRADUTCH Chamber of Commerce of Brazil in the Netherlands.

Alex Figueiredo earned a Bachelor's degree in International Trade and Economy from Akademie fur Welthandel - IHK Frankfurt am Main from 2006 to 2008. In 2006, they also attended ESB Business School - Reutlingen, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree but left the program unfinished. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the Universidade Paulista.

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) works to promote Brazilian products and services abroad, and to attract foreign investment to strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy. Apex-Brasil organizes several initiatives aiming to promote Brazilian exports abroad. The Agency´s efforts comprise trade and prospective missions, business rounds, support for the participation of Brazilian companies in major international trade fairs, arrangement of technical visits of foreign buyers and opinion makers to learn about the Brazilian productive structure, and other select activities designed to strengthen the country’s branding abroad. Apex-Brasil also plays a leading role in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to Brazil, by working to identify business opportunities, promoting strategic events and lending support to foreign investors willing to allocate resources in Brazil.
