Chris Moon

Chris Moon, PE, MBA has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Chris currently holds the position of Senior Director of Electrical Engineering at Apex Clean Energy since January 2024. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Electrical Engineering at Apex Clean Energy from December 2021 to January 2024. Before joining Apex Clean Energy, Chris worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at the same company from October 2019 to December 2021. Chris also has experience at sPower as a High Voltage Engineering professional from March 2019 to November 2019. Chris started their career at Dominion Energy, where they held the positions of Substation Engineering - Team Lead from May 2017 to March 2019 and Substation Engineering - Design Engineer from March 2015 to May 2017. Prior to Dominion Energy, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at Dougherty Electric, Inc. from May 2014 to May 2015.

Chris Moon, PE, MBA holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. Chris also pursued further education at William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Additionally, Chris has professional certifications including a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
