Curtis Griffin has had an extensive work experience in the energy industry. Starting from 1986, they worked as a Key Account Executive at TXU Energy, managing strategic direction for large Commercial & Industrial accounts. In 1996, they joined Mirant Americas, Inc as the Director of Origination and VP of SW Business Unit, where they developed a portfolio of business in ERCOT by creating and maintaining strong customer relationships. At NRG Energy, from 2007 to 2011, Curtis served as the Director of Origination and provided support for NRG's ERCOT portfolio. Curtis then moved on to Goldman Sachs as a Vice President, working as a Commodity Sales advisor for the Municipal and Electric Cooperative market. Starting in 2012, Curtis became the President of Professional Energy Management, LP, offering consulting services for marketing, business development, and sales for energy projects and deals. Most recently, they worked at Apex Clean Energy as the Vice President of Business Development, where they were responsible for the revenue of renewable projects and provided hedging and off-take arrangements for Apex's projects across multiple regions.
Curtis Griffin obtained an MBA degree in Business from The University of Dallas, where they studied from 1990 to 1993. Prior to that, they earned a BSEE degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Memphis, attending from 1981 to 1985. Curtis also obtained the certification of Professional Engineer from the State of Texas in 1992.
