Laura Schauer

Laura Schauer, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Laura is currently serving as the Vice President of Project Finance at Apex Clean Energy since July 2022. Prior to this, Laura worked at ALLETE Clean Energy, Inc. for six years, starting in December 2016, where they held the position of Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they led a highly engaged financial team and provided strategic advice to the company's management. Laura also served as the Director of Asset & Financial Management, VP & Treasurer at ALLETE Clean Energy from August 2011 to December 2016. Laura played a key role in asset management, accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting, as well as raising debt capital for the company. Before joining ALLETE Clean Energy, Laura had various roles at USBank, FWW, and Evensen Dodge, where they gained experience in commercial lending, quantitative services, and municipal bond financial consulting. Additionally, Laura has been actively involved with charitable organizations such as the United Way of Greater Duluth and served as a board member and treasurer for the United Way.

Laura Schauer, CFA holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance, with a minor in Economics, from St. Catherine University. Laura also has completed the MN Executive Program (MEP) at the University of MN -- Carlson School of Management. Additionally, Laura is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certified by the CFA Institute.
