Nicholas Grainger

Nicholas Grainger is a seasoned legal professional specializing in real estate and energy law. Currently serving as Senior Real Estate Counsel at Apex Clean Energy since February 2021, Nicholas is responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of legal documents related to utility-scale solar, wind energy, and battery storage projects. Prior to this role, Nicholas worked at Troutman Pepper from July 2014 to January 2021, focusing on the acquisition, development, and leasing of commercial and residential properties, as well as representing utility companies in solar facility projects. Nicholas began the legal career at Hunton & Williams and Kaufman & Canoles in associate roles. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Davidson College.
