Phil Thomson

Phil Thomson is the Business Development Manager at Apex Molecular. Prior to this, they worked as a Technical Sales Engineer at Analytix_Ltd from February 2019 to June 2021. Phil has also worked as a Product Specialist at Dot Medical Ltd. from March 2018 to October 2018, and as a Process Chemist at GSK from January 2017 to March 2018.

Thomson did their postdoctoral research at Stanford University from January 2016 to December 2017, where they worked on propriety technology in the cross disciplinary area of immuno-oncology and drug discovery while researching oncology drug synthesis, in particular for the treatment of breast cancer. Phil completed their PhD in Synthetic medicinal chemistry at Keele University from September 2012 to March 2016, where their thesis was titled: The design and synthesis of compounds that moderate nitric oxide (NO) levels.

Phil Thomson pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry at Keele University. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Medicinal Chemistry with Forensic Science at Keele University. Phil also attended Bungay High School.

Phil Thomson reports to Tony Flinn, Executive Chairman. Phil Thomson works with Thomas Screen - Chief Operating Officer, Stuart Brown - Commercial Director.
