Oscar Lara

Oscar Lara, MSEE, MBA, is an experienced electrical engineer currently contracted with Apex Systems as part of the Transmission Planning team for American Electric Power since February 2023. Previous roles include an electrical engineer at Nyati Services, Inc. and a physical therapy technician at Oliver Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Centers. Oscar gained valuable experience as a teaching assistant for Control Systems at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and held various student worker positions, contributing to the Office of Registrar and athletics. An internship with Innovation Engineering Consultants involved examining blueprints and documenting electrical plans. Oscar earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution.
