Gerben Wierda

Gerben Wierda is a seasoned professional in the field of enterprise architecture and pension management, currently serving as the Lead for Team Invaarmelding Support at APG since September 2014. With extensive experience at APG, Gerben has held roles including Lead Architect, managing substantial pension assets, and overseeing operations for multiple pension schemes. Gerben is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Enterprise Architecture Conference Europe and the owner of R&A, which publishes books and maintains a blog on enterprise architecture. Previous positions include significant roles at APG Asset Management, the Dutch Council for the Judiciary, and the Netherlands Forensic Institute, highlighting a strong background in IT architecture and management consultancy. Gerben holds a Master’s degree in Physics and Computer Science from the University of Groningen, alongside executive qualifications in business management and governance.
