Carol Clark has a diverse work experience. Carol started their career as a Staff Auditor at the Office of the Legislative Auditors in 1990 and worked there until 1993. Carol then joined AAMFT as a Controller from 1993 to 1997. After that, they became the Chief Operating Officer at the Association of Public Health Laboratories in 1997. In their role, they provided strategic direction, managed operations and finances, and oversaw the development of non-US operations and informatics information exchange programs.

Carol Clark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and completed their studies from 1999 to 2003.
