Christin Hanigan is a seasoned professional in the field of advanced molecular detection, currently serving as the Manager at the Association of Public Health Laboratories since December 2015, where collaboration with the CDC and public health laboratories focuses on the use and implementation of next-generation sequencing (NGS). Prior experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where diverse research projects addressed therapeutic approaches in cancer biology. Hanigan has also played a pivotal role as a volunteer coordinator for the Araminta Freedom Initiative, significantly expanding the volunteer base. Early research experience at the National Institutes of Health provided foundational skills in molecular biology. Educationally, Hanigan holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Mathematics from Seton Hill University.
