Dimitrios Kouvelas

Dimitrios Kouvelas serves as the President of ΠΝΟΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΤΑΤΙΑΣ since May 2022 and holds the position of Professor and Head of Clinical Pharmacology at the School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a role maintained since 1992. Past leadership roles include President of the Medicines Evaluation and Reimbursement (HTA) Committee from March 2015 to January 2020 and CHMP delegate for Greece at the European Medicines Agency from February 2014 to January 2017. Previous experience encompasses work as a Resident Physician at AHEPA University Hospital and research fellow at Institut fuer Farmakologie und Toxikologie. Early career positions include medical representative roles at VIOSER S.A. and DEMO Pharmaceuticals S.A. Educational qualifications include a PostDoctoral Research degree in Neuro/Psycho-Pharmacology from Universität Innsbruck, an MD and PhD in Medical Pharmacology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the same institution, and a Diplome de baccalauréat from De La Salle College in Thessaloniki.
