Maria Lionatou is an experienced Landscape Architect with a longstanding career at the Metropolitan Planning Department of Thessaloniki, Ministry of Environment and Energy since May 2017. In addition to this role, Maria has been involved in academia as an External Assistant Tutor and Adjunct Lecturer at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since January 2003 and served as an Adjunct Lecturer in Landscape Architecture at the University of Thessaly from February 2009 to February 2014. Prior professional experience includes working as a Landscape Architect for the AUTH-Research Committee and in private practice with ArtScape, where design and construction plans were produced for various landscapes. Maria holds a Doctorate in Landscape Architecture with a focus on Green Infrastructure from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MLA from The University of Sheffield, and both MSc and BSc degrees in Agriculture from the same university.
