Apicha Community Health Center
Melanie Dulfo, LMSW, is an experienced social worker and community health leader with over a decade of service at Apicha Community Health Center, currently serving as the Director of Community Health Education since June 2010. In this role, Melanie leads HIV prevention projects and oversees programs focused on LGBT health and wellness, health insurance enrollment, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program enrollment. Previous positions include Community Health Education Program Manager and Women's Project Coordinator, where responsibilities encompassed managing program compliance, developing outreach strategies, and coordinating health services for immigrant Asian women. Earlier experience includes social work internships at the Office of State Senator Liz Krueger and Queens Community House, as well as positions focused on outreach and advocacy in the Filipino community. Melanie holds an MSW in Community Organizing and Aging from CUNY-Hunter College and a BA in Sociology from Hunter College.
