Olaposi Olatoregun

Deputy Project Director/technical Director at APIN Public Health Initiatives

Olaposi Olatoregun has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. They began their career as a Medical Officer at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo in 2011, where they worked until 2014. Following this, they joined FHI 360 as an Assistant Technical Officer, providing technical support and carrying out monitoring and evaluation activities for HIV/AIDS programs. In 2015, Olaposi joined APIN Public Health Initiatives as a Technical Officer, where they supervised trained Quality Improvement (QI) coaches and guided program monitoring and evaluation activities. They later progressed to the position of Senior Technical Officer, leading the implementation of the All Kids Count (AKC) Collaborative for APIN and providing technical assistance to facilities in Benue and Lagos states. Most recently, Olaposi has held the role of Technical Advisor (Strategic Information) at APIN and currently serves as the Deputy Project Director/Technical Director.

Olaposi Olatoregun completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health from Staffordshire University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Medicine from the University of Ilorin. In addition to their degrees, Olaposi has obtained a certification as a Fellow of the Institute of Quality (FisQua) from The International Society For Quality In Health Care in 2018. They also received certification in eSCART from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp (ITM) in 2015.
