Caron Whitfield has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Caron currently serves as the Head of Private Clients and Affinity Groups at Apio Group, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Head of Marketing and Distribution at the same company from 2020 to 2023.

Before joining Apio Group, Caron worked as a Key Account Manager at Inscon Risk Services and Apio Risk Services from 2016 to 2020. Caron also had a role at Maystone Wealth SA (Pty) Ltd from 2015 to 2016, where they focused on new business acquisition and growth in the domestic market.

Caron'scareer started in 2005 at Alexander Forbes, where they worked as an Envoy Consultant until 2006. Caron later rejoined the company as a National Prospecting - Commercial division and National Affinity Liaison from 2006 to 2010.

Throughout their career, Caron has gained experience in various areas such as account management, business development, underwriting, and marketing. Caron'sroles have involved building relationships, driving growth, and collaborating with different stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

In 1985-1989, Caron Whitfield attended Mitchell High School and earned a Matric degree.

In 2004, Caron Whitfield obtained a Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.

In 2006, Caron Whitfield completed an Intermediate Certificate in Business Studies (ICiBS) in Insurance from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.

In 2008, Caron Whitfield earned a Higher Certificate in Business Studies (HCiBS) in Insurance from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.

In 2011, Caron Whitfield completed the IISA Introductory Programme in Advanced Insurance Practice from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and also obtained an RE5 degree in Insurance from Moonstone Business School of Excellence.

In 2015, Caron Whitfield earned the IISA Programme in Advanced Insurance Practice degree in Insurance from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and also obtained an RE1 (Key Individual) degree in Insurance from Moonstone Business School of Excellence.

In 2017, Caron Whitfield enrolled in the Insurance Institute of South Africa to pursue an Associate degree in Insurance.
