Jose María Alvarez Rey

Jose María Alvarez Rey has a significant amount of work experience in the technology industry. Jose María started their career in 2007 as a Project Leader at VaniOs, where they managed technical teams and designed products. Jose María then worked as a Chief Technical Officer at Digital, where they led technical teams and designed company products in the banking industry.

After their role at Digital, Jose worked as a Lead Software Development Engineer as a freelancer. Jose María then joined StyleSage in 2015 as a Backend Tech Lead, where they designed and built the main product of the company and managed a team of employees and contractors.

In 2019, Jose became the Chief Technology Officer at ApetEat, overseeing technology strategy and operations. Jose María also worked as a Chief Technology Officer at their consulting firm, Techfounders.io, where they collaborated with startups to define and implement their tech strategies.

Jose also has experience as a mentor at Startup Weekend, helping entrepreneurs develop and launch startup ideas. Jose María served as a Software Coach at Ibiza Center for Entrepreneurship (ICE), providing guidance in software development.

Jose María Alvarez Rey obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from the same university, attending from 1998 to 2001. In 2023, they completed a Master's degree in Social Sciences from UNIR - La Universidad en Internet. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn in February 2023.
