Robert Navarro has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Robert is currently serving as the Creative Director of Custom Music and Indie Artist A&R at APM Music, where they executive produces and coordinates the production of bespoke library CDs and individual tracks. Robert also consults with affiliated libraries on project direction and composer allocation, as well as assesses prospective composer content submissions.
Prior to this, Navarro worked as the Music Director of Metadata/Taxonomy & Custom at APM Music, where they gained complete familiarity with the online content comprising the library. Robert assisted producers, music supervisors, and music editors in selecting tracks for various productions, and provided assistance to clients in navigating the online library and website.
Navarro has also held positions at Pop Machine Inc., Ra Audio Inc., Noise Refinery, Universal Publishing Production Music, and Occidental College, where they served in roles such as Creative Director, President & CEO, Creative Director and Executive Producer, and Music Librarian, respectively. Robert has extensive experience in developing album briefs, selecting and coordinating composers, ensuring quality control, and providing overall creative supervision.
Furthermore, Navarro has worked as a Producer, Composer, and Songwriter, as well as a Guitar & Bass Teacher. Robert has also contributed as a Staff Writer for a French Film Scoring magazine dedicated to the music of James Horner, where they were responsible for in-depth analysis and critique of selected works.

Robert Navarro began their education at Alemany Highschool, where they earned their High School Diploma in 1990. Following high school, they pursued private instruction in guitar, music theory, and musicianship with Kirk Hellie from 1990 to 1996, and also received private instruction in classical guitar from Eric Jones during the same period. In 1991 and 1992, Robert attended Musician's Institute (GIT) and obtained a Certificate of Completion in guitar performance, musicianship, ear-training, sight reading, improvisation, and songwriting. Robert continued their private instruction in guitar and music theory with Bruce Bouillet from 1991 to 1995. From 1996 to 1997, Robert studied music composition and guitar studies at California State University, Northridge. In 1996, they started private instruction in music composition, music theory, and musicianship with Rowan Taylor, which continued until 1999. During this time, they also received private instruction in music composition from Richard Grayson and achieved a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in music composition from Richard Grayson in 1999. Furthermore, Robert attended Occidental College from 1997 to 1999, where they studied various subjects related to music composition, including music theory, musicianship, orchestration, conducting, and ear-training. To further enhance their vocal technique, they sought private instruction in vocal technique from Ron Anderson in 2008. Lastly, in 1999, Robert received private instruction in music composition from Jeffrey Bernstein.
