Marliz M. Bermudez Richard has over a decade of experience in the maritime and logistics industry, currently serving as Managing Director of APM Terminals Mexico since February 2011. In previous roles, Marliz has held significant positions including Head of Commercial for Latin America and Chief Commercial Officer, with responsibilities that encompass the development and execution of commercial strategies and the management of major port operations. As Senior General Manager for Project Implementation at Lazaro Cardenas TEC II, Marliz ensured effective project management of budgets exceeding USD300 million. Early career highlights include a focus on business development at APM Terminals and project management at Maersk Line, where initiatives included cost reduction and contract negotiations. Marliz holds an M.Sc. in Supply Chain Management from the University of Plymouth, a B.Sc. in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and completed the Program on Negotiation & Leadership at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
