Rutger de Wal

Rutger de Wal is an accomplished HR leader currently serving as the Head of People Function Hubs & Global Functions at APM Terminals since May 2022, overseeing HR for approximately 10,000 employees across Hub terminals and Global Functions. Prior experience includes positions as HR Director Benelux at Chubb, HR Lead North Europe for Bayer's Monsanto organization, and various HR roles at Shell, including HR & Change Advisor and HR Business Partner. Rutger also held an internship at the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries and served as a student assistant at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Rutger holds a Master's degree in International Public Management and has completed both Bachelor's degrees in Public Administration and International Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
