Wendy Aspden-Curran

Wendy Aspden-Curran is an experienced professional with a career in clinical operations and medical writing spanning over two decades. Wendy began their career in 2000 as an Associate Director Clinical Research at Aventis Pharmaceutical. In 2003, they moved to Eyetech Pharmaceutical as a Senior Manager Clinical Research, where they were responsible for program management and team building, as well as the start-up establishment of the company. In 2006, they became a Pharmaceutical Consultant at Nycomed/Altana Pharmaceutical and oversaw the clinical monitoring team and project management, as well as communications. In 2007, they joined Genta Pharmaceutical as a Director Clinical Operations, where they were responsible for global project leadership and team building. Wendy remained with the company until it lost funding, when they were one of the last 15 employees. In 2009, they were sought out by prior HR Management to join Shionogi Inc, where they were hired as a Senior Director Clinical Development. Wendy was responsible for clinical operations, project management, and leadership. In 2015, they joined Turing Pharmaceuticals AG as the Head of Clinical Operations and CNS Clinical Lead. In this role, they were the first hire in the Clinical Operations Group and was responsible for building the department, managing budget accruals and spend, and initiating 25 Phase I-3 Clinical trials on accelerated timelines. In 2016, they joined Arbutus Biopharma Corporation as the Vice President of Clinical Operations, Medical Writing, Data Management, and Regulatory Clinical Supply. In 2021, they moved to Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc./Pfizer Inc. as the Vice President of Clinical Operations at Pfizer Inc. (Arena Pharmaceuticals). Currently, they are the Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations at Apogee Therapeutics.

Wendy Aspden-Curran attended Wheaton College from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Wendy also attended Pequannock. No additional certifications were provided.
