Shamik Banerjee has worked in various roles throughout their career. Shamik was a Founder Member and Chief Marketing Officer at Apollo 24|7, where they were part of the founding team and focused on marketing and customer acquisition. Prior to that, they served as a Founder Member and Chief Marketing Officer at Reliance Capital, where they were responsible for data analytics, marketing automation, branding, and customer communication. Shamik also worked as the Chief Marketing Officer at Aegon Life Insurance Company Limited, where they drove digital transformation initiatives and managed digital sales. Additionally, they played a significant role at Apollo Munich Health Insurance Company Ltd., serving as the Vice President and National Head of Marketing and Digital Engagement, as well as the Vice President of Marketing and National Sales Head for the D2C Business. Before that, they worked at IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance Co. Ltd. as the Head of Corporate Planning and Brand. Shamik began their career at Planman Marcom, where they served as the Associate Vice President and worked closely with Prof. Arindam Chaudhury on research and consulting projects.
Shamik Banerjee completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Kolkata University between 1997 and 2000. Shamik then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing & Finance from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management from 2001 to 2003. Before that, from 1986 to 1997, they attended Don Bosco School, Liluah, where they completed the ICSE and ISC exams.
