Ashley McKay

Ashley McKay has worked in various roles in the finance and accounting industries since 2008. Ashley began their career as a Co-op Student at ExxonMobil in 2008. Ashley then held the roles of Project Accountant and Joint Venture Accountant at ExxonMobil from 2010-2012. From 2012-2017, they worked at Imperial Oil in various roles including Business Controls Advisor - Western Canada Major Projects, Finance Function Business Unit Recruitment, and Financial Analyst - Corporate Business Analysis and Reporting. From 2017-2018, they were the Canadian Controller and Senior Financial Analyst at Trinidad Drilling. From 2018-2019, they were the Director, Accounting & Finance at Harlo Entertainment. From 2019-2021, they were the VP Finance at Harlo Entertainment. Currently, they are the VP Finance at Zavida Coffee Roasters and will become the Director, FP&A at APOLLO Insurance in 2022.

Ashley McKay has obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Haskayne School of Business, specializing in Project Management. Ashley also holds a Certified Management Accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), obtained through their Strategic Leadership Program. Ashley's educational background also includes a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, with a focus on Accounting. Additionally, Ashley has obtained a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute and a QuickBooks Advanced Certification from Quickbooks Software.
