Desiree Aighobahi

Desiree Aighobahi has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Desiree is currently working as a Product Designer at Apollo GraphQL since May 2021. Prior to this, they were a User Experience Designer at Pickups from July 2020 to August 2020. In 2020, they also worked as a UX/UI Designer at Flatiron School from March 2020 to August 2020. Before transitioning to the field of design, Desiree worked as an Associate Project Consultant at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. from August 2018 to March 2020. Desiree also gained experience as a Structural Engineering Intern at HDR in 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Cornell University from August 2016 to May 2017 and as an Intern Engineer at Capital Project Management, Inc. from August 2015 to January 2016.

Desiree Aighobahi obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Cornell University, completing their education from 2013 to 2017. Desiree later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering at Columbia University from 2017 to 2018. In 2020, they attended Flatiron School for a program in UX Design. Additionally, Desiree obtained certifications in "Design Thinking: Understanding the Process" from LinkedIn in January 2021, and an "Engineer In Training" certification from NCEES in January 2018.
