Åsa Edman (fd Mikaels)

Åsa Edman has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Åsa started their career in 1996 as a Researcher in Molecular Pharmacology at Astra Arcus AB. Åsa then joined Karolinska Institutet as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they showcased their leadership skills. Following this, they worked at Biovitrum AB as a Researcher and Project Manager, focusing on drug discovery and development, as well as patent search and analysis. Later, they joined iNovacia AB as a Project Manager, responsible for project management, customer relations, and business development. Åsa then transitioned to Åhlénsgruppen as a Senior Buyer, where they handled procurement and assortment responsibilities. Åsa Edman (fd Mikaels) has a strong educational background in the field of medical biochemistry and biophysics. Åsa obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Karolinska Institutet, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in molecular biology with a focus on mathematical natural sciences at Uppsala University, graduating in 1996 after six years of study. Additionally, they pursued a course called UGL - Utveckling av Grupp och Ledare (Development of Group and Leader) at Karolinska Institutet in 2000, which enhanced their leadership skills.
