Jake Aquilina

Jake Aquilina has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jake began their career in 2016 as a Content Manager, writing SEO-optimized articles, PRs, and blog posts for companies such as Tech Mag, The Malta Independent, Walden Content, and Apozy Inc. Jake also repurposed content for social media channels and edited whitepapers. In 2017, Jake worked as a Keyword Specialist - SEO at Yellow and a Tutor at Inspire Foundation (Malta). In 2018, they served as an EFL teacher at ESE - European School of English. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at The Malta Independent as a Journalist and later as a Proofreader / Sub-Editor. Jake also had a role as a Senior Communications Officer at ESN from November 2021 to April 2022, and prior to that, they were a Communications Officer at the same organization from August to November 2021. In 2021, they founded a research art collective called Signified, exploring art created in the web3 era. Currently, Jake is working as a Content Manager at Interlock, where they help Apozy Inc. shift to the blockchain space and is involved in writing copy for articles, editing whitepapers, and creating landing pages for a Web3 Cybersecurity project. Overall, Jake has gained extensive experience in content management, journalism, communication, teaching, and customer care throughout their career.

Jake Aquilina has a Master of Arts in English (English, Culture and the Media) from the University of Malta, which they obtained from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts in English from the same university between 2016 and 2019. In 2017, Jake also participated in an Erasmus program, studying at the University of Birmingham for a year as part of their Bachelor of Arts degree. Additionally, Jake has obtained several certifications in Content Marketing, SEO Fundamentals, Semrush SEO Toolkit, and Content-Led SEO from Semrush in July and June 2022.
