App Team Carolina
Lauren Ferlito is a Client Team iOS Developer for Luminary at App Team Carolina, focusing on creating an accessible navigation app for UNC's campus since August 2022. In August 2023, Lauren became a learning assistant for the iOS Apprenticeship Team, where responsibilities include curriculum organization and peer guidance in Swift. Selected from 180 applicants, Lauren is part of the iOS Academy Team, enhancing development skills through hands-on experience. As a Computer Science Experience Lab Ambassador at UNC CSXL, Lauren promotes a productive environment for peers. Upcoming software engineering internships include a role at Microsoft focusing on Azure Virtual Network Manager and a previous position at Genesys, where Lauren developed secure endpoints in Kotlin. Lauren holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, expected in 2025, and possesses prior experience in management and lifeguarding with the City of Raleigh Municipal Government.
