Brandon McBride is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in public administration and federal relations. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Appalachian Regional Commission since November 2020, Brandon has previously held significant positions including Vice President of Federal Relations at the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation from 2017 to 2020, and Administrator at the USDA Rural Utilities Service from 2015 to 2017. Additional experience includes serving as Senior Professional Staff for the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry from 2009 to 2015, and as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln from 2001 to 2009. Brandon McBride holds a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Arkansas State University.
