Sarah Arney

Sarah Arney is a skilled Program Analyst specializing in critical infrastructure at the Appalachian Regional Commission since February 2022. Previously, Sarah served as a Community Development Planner for the City of Kinston from August 2019 to February 2022, managing grants for various public initiatives and facilitating Kinston's first citizen academy. With experience as a Fellow at Lead For America, Sarah contributed to local government projects in North Carolina. Additional roles include Program Facilitator at Charles House Association and Advocate Training Team Coordinator at the Community Empowerment Fund, where Sarah developed training programs and supported community members in areas such as employment and housing. Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019.
