Sue Long

Sue Long is an experienced program analyst currently working at the Appalachian Regional Commission since January 2022. Long has a robust background in project management and strategic planning, having previously served as the Project Manager for the Capital Improvements Program in Falls Church, VA, where management of transportation and infrastructure projects was a key responsibility. Long held several prominent positions including Principal Project Manager at the London Development Agency, Vice President of Strategic Planning at Battery Park City Authority, and Director at the NYC Department of Buildings. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame. Long’s early career included legislative support roles in the U.S. House of Representatives and at Columbia University, focused on government relations and policy advocacy.
