Jason Marshburn

Jason Marshburn is the current Director of Environmental Health, Safety, and Emergency Management at Appalachian State University. Jason has over fifteen years of experience in the field of emergency management and has held previous positions such as Director of Emergency Management at UNCG and Assistant Program Director at Camp Riverlea. Jason's experience includes developing university and community partnerships, grant management, policy development, budgeting, regulatory compliance, planning, public outreach, disaster response, and project management.

Jason Marshburn holds a Master of Science in Safety, Security and Emergency Management from Eastern Kentucky University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from Western Carolina University.

Jason Marshburn reports to Lee F. Ball Jr., Chief Sustainability Officer.
