Samantha Howell

Samantha Howell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in advancement operations, data analysis, and reporting. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Advancement Operations at American University since December 2017, Samantha has held various titles, including Director of Reporting and Analytics and Interim Director of Advancement Information Systems. Noteworthy achievements include completing the Inclusive Philanthropy Micro Credential in June 2023, participating in a change management workshop, and presenting at multiple national conferences. Additionally, Samantha works as a Data Project Consultant for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, where expertise in data analysis has supported the transition to a new CRM. Previous roles include Digital Data Specialist at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Admissions Resources Coordinator at American University Washington College of Law.
