Brenda Wyland has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Brenda started their career as an Economic Development Director at SECOG from May 2001 to December 2007. Brenda then served as the Interim Executive Director at NDSU Research & Technology Park from January 2008 to September 2013, overseeing technology-based economic development in North Dakota.
In October 2013, Brenda joined Appareo Systems as the Director of Marketing, where they contributed to the design and manufacturing of rugged electronics for various industries. Brenda later became the VP of Government & Defense in October 2019, leading the strategic direction and growth of Appareo's government and military portfolio. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Strategy at Appareo Systems, responsible for driving strategic decision-making and fostering a high-performing team.
Throughout their career, Brenda has demonstrated a strong commitment to building public-private partnerships and bringing transformative change through collaboration and strategic decision-making.
Brenda Wyland attended Emery High School for their secondary education. Brenda then pursued an Associates Degree at Southeast Technical Institute from 1995 to 1997. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor's degree at North Dakota State University from 1997 to 1999. Later, Brenda completed their Master's in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Sioux Falls from 2002 to 2004.
