Chris Kolosiwsky's work experience spans over several years in various companies and roles. Chris started their career at Lee Publications in 1995 as a Lead Systems Administrator, where they managed daily IT operations and data communication. Chris then worked at Orbitz as an ESM Team Consultant before joining Trading Technologies, Inc. as a Senior Unix Administrator. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining Unix-based server hardware and developing custom monitoring scripts.
After Trading Technologies, Inc., Chris worked at CQG, Inc. as a Linux System Administrator, where they created custom server installation and configured monitoring applications. Chris then joined Sun-Times News Group as a Team Lead/Senior Linux Administrator, overseeing a team and providing production support for a media outlet's web presence.
After Sun-Times News Group, Chris joined Optiver US LLC as a Senior Linux Administrator before moving to TransUnion as a Senior Engineer. Chris then joined Mozilla Corporation as a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, where they deployed and maintained cloud services.
Most recently, Chris worked at Globality, Inc. as a Sr. Staff Infrastructure Engineer, where they managed virtual environments, deployed shared tools, and worked with Terraform, Ansible, and AWS.
Currently, Chris is working at Appcues as a Staff Developer Infrastructure Engineer.
Chris Kolosiwsky obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Network Technology from Purdue University Northwest, which was completed from 1994 to 1998. In terms of additional certifications, Chris obtained a Certificates of Expertise - EX442 in Red Hat Enterprise System Monitoring and Performance Tuning from RedHat Linux in February 2012. Additionally, Chris obtained an RHCE certification from RedHat Linux in June 2008.
