Bushra Zawaydeh

Bushra Zawaydeh, Ph.D., CSM, serves as a Senior Linguist at Appen since November 2024. Prior roles include Language Specialist in the AI/LLM Practice at Innodata Inc. from July 2023 to October 2024, where responsibilities involved creating training datasets for AI models, and Senior Linguist & AI Specialist at Appen Butler Hill, Inc. from November 2013 to May 2023, providing linguistic and technical leadership. Earlier experience includes positions at LinguaSys, the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, Basis Technology, BBN Technologies, the Linguistic Data Consortium, Dictaphone Corporation, and Lernout and Hauspie Speech Products, focusing on language technology, machine translation, and linguistic data development. Bushra Zawaydeh holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Indiana University Bloomington, an MA in Linguistics from the University of New Mexico, and a BA in English Literature from the University of Jordan.
