Cory Holland

Cory Holland is a seasoned linguist with extensive experience in language instruction and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Linguist at Appen since November 2021, Cory previously held roles such as Language Engineer at QuillBot and English Linguist contractor at Appen. Academic leadership includes teaching positions at Worcester State University, where courses in language science and English for international students were offered, as well as adjunct professorship at Colorado State University, covering various linguistics and TESL/TEFL courses. Additional teaching experience encompasses roles at INTO Colorado State University and UC Davis Extension. Cory's educational background includes a PhD in Linguistics from the University of California, Davis, and both an MA and BA in Linguistics. Prior to academic roles, Cory worked in therapeutic foster care coordination and family involvement within child welfare services.
