Chris Pollach

Chris Pollach has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Chris began their career as an Instructor at the City of Ottawa TaeKwonDo in 1997. In 1989, they founded Software Tool & Die Inc. and served as the CEO & President. Chris also worked at Citizenship and Immigration Canada as a Senior Systems Analyst & Consultant from 2014 to 2016, and at Passport Canada in the same role from 2012 to 2014. Chris has also held leadership positions in various user groups, including being the President of the Ottawa Sybase User Group from 2003 to 2014, the Vice President of Membership at Independant SAP Technical User Group (ISUG-TECH) from 2012 to 2013, and the Vice President (Membership) at International Sybase User Group from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, Chris worked at Sybase Canada as a Consultant from 1996 to 2012 and as the Director of Communications from 2007 to 2010. Chris also served as the North American User Group Director at International Sybase User Group from 2005 to 2009. In 2016, Chris joined Appeon Corporation as the Director of Developer Relations.

Chris Pollach began their education in 1969 at Burnhamthorpe, where they pursued a 5-year STT degree in Science Technology & Trades. Chris completed this program in 1973.

From 1974 to 1977, Chris attended Ryerson University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering.

In 1977, Chris enrolled at Humber College and pursued an Honours degree in Computer Science. Chris completed this program in 1979.

From 1978 to 1980, Chris attended York University, where they earned a BSc degree in Computer Science.
