Vidar Melstveit

Vidar Melstveit has a diverse work experience history. In 2014, they joined Start NTNU as a member and later went on to become the President, where they were responsible for managing daily activities, connecting the organization to the innovation ecosystem in Trondheim, and helping members learn and grow. Vidar also served as a Mentor for Start NTNU from 2017 to 2019. In 2016, Vidar worked as a Fish Farmer at SalMar during the summer holidays, gaining practical experience in sea-based net pens. Vidar then interned at Vipps in 2017. Vidar was a Board Member at Start Norway in 2017 and also served as a Key Account Manager and Project Coordinator at Spark NTNU from 2017 to 2021. In 2019, they co-founded Njord Robotics AS and served as the Co-Founder and CEO until 2021. At Njord Robotics AS, they developed cleaning solutions for the fish farming industry. Vidar also founded Melstveit Consulting in 2019. More recently, they worked as a Business Developer at ECONNECT Energy from April to July 2021. Currently, Vidar holds the position of Business Development Manager at Appfarm, starting from August 2021.

Vidar Melstveit completed their Master of Science degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2014 to 2020. During their time at NTNU, they also studied Entrepreneurship at the NTNU School of Entrepreneurship. In 2017-2018, they participated in an exchange program at the University of Buenos Aires, where they focused on Industrial Engineering. In 2019, Vidar attended the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, where they completed an Executive Program in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. In addition to their academic pursuits, in July 2022, Vidar obtained a specialized certification in Appfarm Sales Rep from Appfarm.
