Brian Guckian

Brian Guckian has been in the finance industry since 1998, starting as a Sales Trader for SEB Enskilda. Brian then moved to Danske Markets in 2010 as a Sales Trader, and in 2012, they became the Head of Sales & Sales Trading for SEB. In 2016, they became Self Employed and was actively involved in raising VC funds in FinTech start ups in the brokerage, asset management, and shipping sectors, as well as the launch of a new set of indices in North America. In 2017, they moved to Arctic Securities as an Equities Trader, and in 2018, they moved to Tradition Securities and Futures in the same role. In 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Astrum Partners Limited, where they were a Capital Introduction/Placement Agent, selling Alternative Investments to Japanese institutional and retail clients. Brian also became a Director for White Rose Securities Partners Limited, where they were involved in VC deal origination and execution, as well as sourcing and arranging commercial opportunities for companies. In 2020, they became the Chief Business Development Officer for Appital, and in 2021, they became a Non Executive Director for ALT/AVE.

Brian Guckian's education history includes a Master of Arts in Money, Banking & Finance from The University of Sheffield (1992-1993), a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from University of Wolverhampton (1989-1992), and Bancrofts School, Woodford Green (1981-1988).
