Pete Correia

Pete Correia began their career in 2009 as a Front End Developer at SAPO/Portugal Telecom, where they worked on the front end team of the News website and the front end development of SAPO Campus. In 2011, they moved to Xively as a Lead Front End Developer and Creative Director, where they led and managed the Design & Front-end team and designed the identity, brand guidelines book and marketing collateral for the new Xively by LogMeIn brand. From 2013 to 2015, they held a Lead Engineer & Creative Technologist (Contract) position at Umbrellium, a company that designs and builds technological tools to support citizen empowerment and high-impact engagement in cities. Pete then worked as a Senior Engineer (Contract) at Barclays Wealth Management, where they consulted on the engineering of a complex events/rewards platform, and was responsible for bringing Barclays Wealth to all devices by implementing a responsive strategy within the product teams. During this time, they also held a Senior Engineer (Contract) position at Seymourpowell, a leading Design & Innovation Consultancy, where they consulted on the engineering of a highly dynamic website for an innovative product. From 2015 to 2019, they were Head of Technology, London & Lead Engineer at Fathom, a UX consultancy. In 2019, they joined EY as a Global Innovation Engineering Lead (Consultant) and Co-Founder, CTO at Appital, where they brought technological innovation and automation to equity capital markets.

Pete Correia obtained a Licentiate degree in Information and Communication Technologies from Universidade de Aveiro between 2005 and 2009.
