Mario Mejía

Mario Mejía has an extensive work experience in various roles related to product solutions, agile methodology, and coaching. Mario currently holds the position of Head of Product Solutions at Applaudo since November 2023. Prior to this, they were the Head of Agile at the same company from July 2021 to November 2023. Mario also served as a Senior Agile Coach from January 2021 to July 2021 and as a Scrum Master from November 2019 to January 2021 at Applaudo. Mario co-founded and worked as a Trainer at Agile Mindset from January 2020 to December 2021. Mario also worked as a Management 3.0 Trainer at Management 3.0 from January 2021 to October 2021. Before that, Mario was an Agile Coach at Scotiabank from February 2018 to November 2019. Mario started their career at Avianca in 2013, where they worked as a Java Software Developer from November 2013 to February 2014, an Oracle EBS Analyst from February 2014 to September 2014, and a Scrum Master from September 2014 to January 2018.

Mario Mejía is currently pursuing a specialization in Data-driven Decision-making at the University at Buffalo, which is expected to be completed in 2023. Mario also completed a course on Critical Thinking and Machine Learning Foundations for Product Managers at Duke University in 2023. Mario holds a degree in Business Administration and Management, with a specialization in Product-Led Growth, from Product School. Mario has an expertise in computer science, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Francisco Gavidia in 2017. Mario also completed a diploma in Java programming for enterprise applications at Instituto Tecnológico Centro Americano in 2014. In terms of language education, Mario has studied French at Universidad de El Salvador and English at Centro Cultural Salvadoreño Americano. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications such as Professional Scrum with Kanban and Professional Agile Leadership - Evidence Based Management from Scrum.org, Professional Agile Coach from martinalaimo.com, Agile Team Facilitator from Scrum Alliance, Certified Management 3.0 Facilitator from Management 3.0, Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org, and Certified Scrum Developer from Scrum Alliance.
